Please note that our fees are substantially lower than those recommended by the Australian Psychological Society.
Our fees are reviewed annually.
HOW MUCH DO SESSIONS COST?
Clinical Psychologist :
- $255 per 50 min therapy session
- $367.50 per 90 min therapy/assessment session
- $330 per 60 min assessment session
Registered Psychologist:
- $215 per 50 min therapy session
- $318 per 90 min therapy/assessment session

MEDICARE REBATES AND HOW CLAIMING WORKS
Clients with a Mental Health Care Plan from their health care provider (GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist) will be eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 individual therapy sessions per calendar year, but will require a review by their health care provider following the first 6 sessions.
The rebate is currently $141.85 per session with a Clinical Psychologist, and $96.65 per session with a Clinical Psychology Registrar. Full payment for the session is made to Approach Psychology at the time of the appointment and the Medicare rebate processed by our reception staff.
CAN i CLAIM THROUGH MY PRIVATE HEALTH FUND?
Clients not claiming Medicare rebates may be able to claim through their private health fund if they have the right level of cover. Private health insurance cannot be used to top up the Medicare rebate.
